This morning I attended a Natural Skin Rejuvenation Workshop hosted by Stephanie Malcolm, at Wellington Apothecary as part of their Equinox Workshop Series.

🌟Steph is a holistic facialist, her expertise and passion for natural beauty were truly evident. During the workshop she guided us through a step-by-step facial routine that we can replicate at home, and taught us how to incorporate a Gua Sha facial massage for extra skin plumping.

In addition to all the skincare knowledge, we were also treated to a delicious brunch and nourishing beverages, as well as a luxurious pamper gift bag to take home.

🙏I highly recommend attending one of Stephanie's workshops. It's the perfect way to slow down, simplify, and savour the moment.

Today, I watched a webinar hosted by Dr Fiona Crichton and Jase Te Patu. They spoke about "The Five Ways to feeling good and functioning better" for MHAW 2023. Their conversation on wellbeing was a reminder of how small actions and consistency can have a positive impact on our wellbeing in the long term.

Day 3 of Mental Health Awareness Week: Be Active

If you had told me a few years ago that I would actually enjoy moving my body, I would have given you a skeptical look and said, Ewww! But you know what? Slowly, I've been working on my relationship with movement, and it has made a world of difference.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned along the way is to find what YOUR thing is. We're all unique individuals, and what works for one person might not work for another. For me, it's been a combination of walking, yin yoga, pilates reformer, and working with a personal trainer.

Movement has become so much more than just exercise for me. It's a way to uplift my mood, promote relaxation, and build resilience. The benefits extend far beyond the physical aspects. It's amazing how something as simple as moving your body can have such a profound impact on your mental well-being.

Remember, it's not about perfection or comparing ourselves to others. It's about finding joy and fulfillment in the movement that works for us as individuals. Let's embrace the power of moving our bodies and discover the incredible benefits it can bring to our lives.

As I work from home, I decided to get creative and think about how I could show up for others on Day 2 from the comfort of my own space. ⁠

Giving doesn't always have to be in person or through grand gestures. It can be the little things that make a big difference.⁠

Here are the ways I embraced the spirit of giving today:⁠
•Reached out to a friend who I knew was going through a tough time. Sometimes a phone call, email, letter, or card can mean the world to someone, knowing that someone cares about them.⁠

•Shared my knowledge and experience with a person who asked me about something I had been through. Whether it's in your field of expertise or a hobby you're passionate about, sharing what you know can empower and guide others towards their goals.⁠

•Practiced self-care and self-love. Sometimes, giving starts with ourselves. I took the time to nourish my mind, body, and soul today, knowing that when I feel good, I can show up better for others, too.⁠

Remember, giving doesn't always have to be about grand gestures or physical presence. It's about the intention behind our actions.⁠

Today, I had an eye-opening realisation that I hadn't journaled for a while and let my gratitude practice fall by the wayside. So, this morning, I took some time to journal and check in with myself. Journaling helps me process things and brings clarity to my thoughts.⁠

Tonight, I'll grab my gratitude journal and write down three things I'm grateful for today. It's amazing how this simple act can shift our mindset and remind us of the beauty in our lives.⁠
